Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
Airlines and Terminals

(Dallas, Texas - TX, USA)

As the busiest of all the public aviation hubs in Texas, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is served by many domestic and international airlines, which together number in the region of 25 different companies. The complex serves as a notable hub for both American Airlines and UPS (a cargo carrier).

Covering more than 7,300 hectares / 18,040 acres, the overall size of the site actually makes this huge airport the second-biggest in the whole of the United States, and one of the largest in the world.

Passengers will find no less than five distinct terminals at DFW, along with more than 150 boarding gates. Most of the terminals are semi-circular in their design, with the exception of Terminal D, which is structured more as a square U-shape. The high-speed DFW Skylink train makes getting between buildings quick and easy, with average travel times in the region of just five minutes. This important people mover system boasts more than 60 trains and opened in 2005, replacing the notoriously slow American Airlines TrAAin.
